The Minnesota Kenpo Karate Studio was started to preserve American Kenpo as it was taught by Senior Grandmaster Parker and pass that knowledge on intact.

Many schools have altered or in some cases changed the curriculum, changed techniques , or even removed techniques from thier currriculum all together.

While adapting and changing techniques to suit the individual is encouraged in American Kenpo, there should be a solid foundation of tradition.

Additionally, the goal of any martial art whether it be American Kenpo, Aikdo, Muay Thai or any other style you can think of should be above all the ability to defend yourself in a real life situation.
